GoDaddy was founded by Bob Parsons, also the CEO. In 1997 Bob started a company and renamed it to GoDaddy in 1999. In 2000 GoDaddy becaome an ICANN accredited domain name registrar. They are the largest domain name registrar and that is their core business. With over 9 million customers and over 49 million domain names under management they are significantly larger than other competitors. While they are such a large registrar they also provide a multitude of other products and services, from web hosting to business incorporation. The driving force behind Go Daddy is Bob Parsons.

The commercials began with Candie Michelle a WWE Diva. Next, and probably the most noticeable, was and still is Indy Car driver Danica Patrick. Danica started in 2006 and continues to be a GoDaddy Girl. Over the years they added additional girls to bring the count to 6. Another equally famous individual is Jillian Michaels from the show America’s Toughest Trainer. Most of the advertisements you will see are during teh Super Bowl. It took them a while to have the edgy advertisements approved however they are a highly anticipated commercial every year.
