The U.S. Small Business Association (SBA.gov) setup an accelerator demo day along with the Global Accelerator Network (GAN). Accelerators exist to help increase the likelihood of startups success. Depending on the accelerator, they provide various kinds of assistance. That assistance can take the form of money, office space, connectivity, mentoring, assistance with obtaining follow on funding, employees, and other methods of assistance with the goal of accelerating the progress of the startup and hopefully increasing their chances of survival and success.
