CO Registration Phases
There were two different phases of registration. The pre-registration and post-registration (I guess that was obvious). Pre-registration is known as the Priority Registration or what the registrars like to call the Landrush Phase. This extends from June 21 to July 13, 2010. After July 20th it is open registration, also note the auction format below. But that does not matter now as registration is open now in 2011.

Types of Registration
Now there is only one type of registration, you can obtain a .CO domain right now. You may want to use it as your main domain and create a brand new website.
