AdBrite Full Page Ad Test II
This test began on October 6, 2007, to determine how much revenue could be made from AdBrite full page ads. Beginning of the test and an explanation of their ad product is here.
In summary, the AdBrite full page ads are full screen ads that drive users directly to an advertiser’s website or landing page between the pages of a publisher’s website. Each user only sees one per visit so they are not annoyed with many, you can control this.
This is how they look, your site header at the top, a button to skip the ad and return to your site and the advertiser below:

Here are the results, from October 6, 2007 to November 13, 2007:
- 34,890 Zone Views
- 548 Impressions
- $1.04
- The results show that while 34,890 impressions were available, only 548 were filled with advertisements. Total revenue was $1.04 which is not bad, essentially that would create a cost per thousand (CPM) of $1.89 if all the impressions were filled. You may see a lower or higher CPM if your site is in a less or more desirable category, respectively.
Since each user will only see 1 advertisement in a 24 hour period this is not a bad source of additional revenue as long as you have decent inventory.
AdBrite’s reporting is amazing, you are able to see what sites and advertisements were displayed as interstitials. You are also able to see what they paid and how many impressions were shown. I suggest you try all their revenue generating products.

Yes but are the intertials really worth it?
It take the visitor away from your site. This visitor could of been a pontentional clicker of your adsense ads which would pay far more. But you would lose this visitor to a advert paying you you $0.005

You make a very good point. In total I was able to make roughly a $2.00 CPM, which is not bad. However there is opportunity cost in the other revenue generating items of the site. It all depends on your site content as to whether it is considered annoying and actually harmful. I removed them from this site as I do not believe this is the right type of site for those ads. Typically you see them on high volume sites centered around humor or other content.

I really like AdBrite. They have a very friendly and helpful staff. I don’t think that I’ve had to wait more than 2 days for a reply, and each reply was from a person that actually solved my problem the first time, and not an automated response about something that had nothing to do with my issue (cough cough).
My favorite AdBrite feature is the interstitial. AdBrite lets you customize the header, too so that it doesn’t look too advertiseryish (I couldn’t think of a word).

I forgot to add something (you can merge this with my other comment)…You said that each ad is only shown once every 24 hours. You can actually change this. You can show it as much as 4 times a day (once every 6 hours). Just edit the interstitial and go to Ad Specs and change it.

Are there any ad networks that offer full page ads besides Adbrite?
Thanks
