Share Your Posts with Madkast

There are two things you want to make sure each of your posts have.

First, a simple tool to allow your visitors to share your post with others. This started out as a tool to merely email the article to a friend. Now there are many plugins to Wordpress and other cut and paste solutions to provide your visitors with this capability.

Second, the ability for your visitors to bookmark and submit your article to delicious, digg, facebook, technorati or other website, is a must as well.

My favorite you will see next to the title of this post from Madkast. They allow you to not only email to a friend but also send to their phone by using a phone number. Implementation is also easy as you merely enter your email address and cut and paste code they provide you. This means that you do not need to ftp anything to a server, you merely paste the code they provide once and you are done.

Take a look at the Madkast link next to the title of the article in the screenshot below, and the white overlay shows the window that pops up and all the features your users will have.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising on 7Search

Everyone is familiar with Google’s Adwords in which you bid on keywords and pay per click. When you find the terms that work for you but the price is too much, where do you go next?

Other Pay Per Click (PPC) search engine companies exist. One of my favorite’s that I have used for years is 7Search.com.

When you see their site you may think it is not professional as the design is not an eye-popping wow site. However they have a huge affiliate network and can drive a lot of traffic at prices that are typically a fraction of Google’s Adwords. Once you get used to their interface it is very easy to use and worth a shot. You can deposit as little as $25 and give it a try.

Make money with pictures : AdBrite’s BritePic

AdBrite’s BritePic allows you to make money with your pictures. You simply use their code for each picture and AdBrite places text advertising around the picture. Clicks earn you money. Your pictures do not take up any more space than they normally would.

Some of the features of BritePic are:

  • Link to this image
  • Embed this image (you still get the ad revenue, even if your pic is embedded elsewhere)
  • Zoom in and out (see demo)
  • Captions that slide out when you hover over the pic
  • Link the image to another URL
  • Subscribe to RSS

Here is an example of a picture I took and the BritePic ads:

AdBrite Full Page Ad Test

AdBrite full page ads are interactive full screen ads that drive users directly to an advertiser’s website or landing page between the pages of a publisher’s website. Each user only sees one per visit so they are not annoyed with many, you can control this.

Test: The full page ad code was added today 10/6/07. We will follow the progress to determine the amount of revenue we can make.

As with all of the AdBrite products they sell the ad space for you. Here are some of the publisher, site owner, benefits:

  • Easy to set up - Place a small snippet of code on your site
  • Use none of your site’s digital real estate
  • Customize the look and feel of your full page ad header
  • Control when the full page ad will show for your viewer

The full page ads are customizable, you can change the header logo, colors, frequency of the ad shown, how the buttons on the header look and more.

This is how they look, your site header at the top, a button to skip the ad and return to your site and the advertiser below:

AdBrite will sell ad space on your site for you. They have many options to generate revenue from your site. You control what type of advertising you would like on your site. (Sign up here). Ad units include:

  • Text only (links to advertisers sites)
  • Combination of Banners and Text (alternates depending on demand)
  • Full page advertising (shown between pages on your site)
  • Inline ads (keywords are highlighted and may be clicked)
  • BritePic (monetizing photos)
  • InVideo (monetizing your video)

Text only, and text w/banners work much like Google AdSense, advertisers may choose to place their advertisements throughout the network. When using the text w/banners, text will display when banners are not available.

Full page advertising allows appears between webpages on your website. When a visitor moves from one page to another they are shown an advertisement with the top of the webpage identifying your site and the bottom of the webpage is an ad. Each visitor will only see one per visit so they are not annoyed.

Inline Ads highlight keywords on your page by underlining them. When the mouse hovers over the word an advertisement appears to grab their attention and a click on the word earns you revenue. These ads are very unobtrusive and a nice supplement to other forms of advertising on the page.

BritePic ads allow you to monetize your pictures. By using the AdBrite system they place an advertisement at the top of your picture. When clicked you earn revenue.

InVideo ads allow you to monetize your videos. By using the AdBrite system they place an advertisement, much like BritePic, at the top of the video and you earn revenue when clicked.

You may choose any or all of the above. We will write about each advertisement type and test each one.

Learn How Agloco Hours Work

There are two ways to earn from Agloco and two things you earn.

The two ways you earn are directly through using their Wiewbar and indirectly through referrals and referring others.

The two things you earn are cash and stock. The cash and stock is given in proportion to the hours you have accrued. Accrued hours come from the Viewbar and referrals as above. You can use the Viewbar as much as you like and you are credited up to 5 hours a month. You are then credited a portion of the hours that your referrals earn, referrals still get their 5 hours and you receive bonus hours as a percentage of what they earned.

Until recently Agloco did not discuss how much cash or stock you received per hour. However we posted their recent cash calculation from their corporate blog here. Therefore you receive around 50 cents per hour, soon they will let us know how much stock you receive. The payouts, see the same article here, are paid over 10 years. So your 50 cents will be paid monthly over 10 years, or over 120 months. They are trying to control their cash flow as they get up and running, which benefits us all as we will get paid and they will stay in business.

Here is an interesting note, they are considering allowing individuals to sell or otherwise transfer hours to others. In otherwords, instead of receive your payout over 10 years you could sell your hours to someone else. The seller receives instant cash and the buyer receives the payout over time. I go into detail, as well as post the Agloco corporate notice about the buying and selling here.

Agloco Pays How Much?

Agloco posted a notice about their payouts (distributions). They stated they will start with Agloco Monthly Residual Payments. The idea is that you will earn a monthly rate per hour of your calculated on a monthly basis, as well as a portion of your referrals earnings.

Per their notice here are the past monthly rates:

• June $0.48 per hour - ($0.0040 per month for 120 months)
• July $0.42 per hour - ($0.0035 per month for 120 months)
• August $0.54 per hour - ($0.0045 per month for 120 months)

It is interesting that they choose to make these payments which are paid out over 10 years. It may be a very conservative but smart method of payment. AllAdvantage (a company that many of the current Agloco founders/employees came from) paid out too much too fast. What I mean is they paid out the revenue faster than the income came in.

The idea of paying out over time while the company generates additional revenue and primes the cash flow pump is best for everyone. Agloco needs to assure at least a break even and hopefully a profitable model to stay in business.

If you did not know, currently their income comes from the search bar in their ViewBar. A partnership with Ask.com generates revenue when advertisements are clicked. That revenue is spread among the many users to generate the above payouts. Of course there should be overhead taken into account before the payout is generated but you get the idea.

As more information becomes available I will post here and explain.

Join Agloco here if you have not already.
